We serve approximately 2,300 facilities and 1.8 million inmates in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Our products and services are deployed in 32 state DOC contracts (including 8 of the largest 10) and over 650 counties, including many of the largest city/county run jail facilities. We also provide service to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
GTL continues to be at the forefront of the constantly evolving corrections market, with a history of always building the best products first—the first web-based inmate telephone platform, the first wireless tablet with the ability to make phone calls, the first web-based jail management system, and more. GTL is a Licensed Money Transmitter, has attained Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1 compliance, and implements a layered security approach to proactively protect customer information.
GTL offers the most comprehensive corrections education product suite available for assisting inmates with educational training and reducing the recidivism rate. A secure Learning Management System (LMS) provides educational opportunities and credentialed content for a range of incarcerated learners—juvenile offenders, inmates, probationers, parolees, and inmates working in prison industries—as well as professional staff ranging from corrections officers to facility administrators.
