Global Network Engineering is part of the Infrastructure Core Products organization and responsible for providing global solutions and standards for Deutsche Bank's large-scale network infrastructure. Transport Engineering is partnering with Senior Architecture leaders and other technology teams to align Network, Security, Enterprise, Domain and Solution architecture.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be engineering, testing and documenting large scale network solutions before handing them over for implementation. Your area of expertise will be Datacenter networks where you excel in designing overlay and underlay networks as well as closely work with the team on designing software defined networks.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in business requirements and contribute materially to the development of functional design.
  • Work with business users and other technology teams to understand their data requirements, identify appropriate data sources, design and develop data pipelines and design appropriate data structures to store the required data.
  • Design and develop data pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Analyze data and produce data analysis artifacts using Excel, Jupyter or Tableau
  • Support release deployments into controlled environments.
  • Capture Build and Deployment notes, develop automated deployment scripts, as needed

Skills You'll Need

  • Graduate Degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience using SQL as a data integration and data processing language
  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries for advanced data analysis
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple data sources and good understanding of the challenges involved
  • Experience working in any of the major RDBMS e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, Postgres
  • Experience with data modeling techniques for OLTP and OLAP applications

Skills to Help You Excel

  • Programming experience in Python
  • Ability to understand Scala or Java code
  • Familiarity with Big Data ecosystem e.g. Spark and Hadoop
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools like Excel, Pandas, Jupyter notebooks etc.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools like Tableau, Business Objects or Cognos
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum process.

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary, NC is$100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
