About the Opportunity:

The CNC Machinist II position is a skilled-level role for experienced machinists capable of operating CNC, EDM, and manual machines with a high degree of independence. Working under general supervision, this role requires technical expertise in precision machining, tool adjustments, and minor repairs. The CNC Machinist II is expected to be a subject matter expert on multiple machines and to contribute actively to the knowledge-sharing and development of peers.

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Responsibilities:

  • Operate all manual and/or CNC machines independently to perform specific operations as outlined in method sheets and process documentation
  • Change, set, and adjust precision tools as required
  • Adjust feeds and speeds as needed for optimized machine performance
  • Consistently maintain specific tolerances and dimensional accuracy
  • Check parts using gauges and fixtures to verify conformity to specifications
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report or correct improper function
  • Make minor repairs to equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Share technical knowledge and provide informal mentorship to other employees
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on several types of machines
  • Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent,
  • 3 years of CNC operation experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace and/or advanced manufacturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to analyze production data and support process improvement initiatives
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-change environments
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across departments
  • Familiarity with machine programming and basic troubleshooting
  • Prior experience inspecting machined parts using a range of precision instruments
  • Demonstrated initiative in learning and professional growth
  • 7 years of relevant machining experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to inspect precision components
  • Tolerance for a manufacturing environment (noise, machinery, oil/coolant exposure)
  • Occasional bending, twisting, and reaching during machine operation or maintenance tasks
