Job Title: Head of Air Freight Process Excellence, NorAm Job Location: Atlanta, Georgia DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) is a global leader in air, ocean, and customs brokerage services, connecting businesses to markets worldwide. We have an opportunity for a senior Process Excellence leader to drive regional Air Freight process governance, operational consistency, and continuous improvement across countries, stations, and GSC interfaces. In this role, you'll translate global Process Excellence standards and GTOM design into a practical regional operating model. You'll help reduce process drift, strengthen execution discipline, and ensure consistent adoption of standard ways of working across the region. The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, however it can be based out of any station across the US. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the regional Process Excellence agenda for Air Freight, ensuring strong governance across countries, stations, domains, and GSC interfaces.
- Translate global standards, governance rules, and GTOM design into regionally executable processes, controls, and improvement plans.
- Identify structural drift, repeated exceptions, domain-boundary issues, process breakdowns, and governance variability across the region.
- Drive regional interventions where local reinterpretation, unmanaged variation, or weak process control affects operational consistency.
- Define and govern cross-domain process governance across Product & Services, Pricing, Growth, SCM & Gateway, Charters, Country Operations, GSC, Station execution, Implementation, and Operational Accounting.
- Build process controls, performance cadence, root-cause follow-up, AQI cadence, selected SQI interfaces, drift detection, and closure discipline.
- Monitor GSC transition and stabilization from a process perspective, ensuring clear ownership, handoffs, escalation paths, and control points.
- Support implementation and customer implementation processes, including onboarding, readiness, hypercare, and execution stabilization.
- Own the regional business trigger for process-related system and digital changes, including RTC intake, requirement clarification, UAT coordination, and adoption support.
- Lead regional process programs and operating-model deployments, including DSS, Golden Flow, Celonis / process intelligence, and AI-enabled process control where applicable.
- Coach Process Excellence leaders across countries and reinforce governance hygiene, process discipline, readiness standards, and consistent ways of working.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree.
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in process excellence, operational governance, business process improvement, project management, or a related field.
- Senior management experience, including leading a department or unit with multiple teams led by managers and/or team leaders.
- Strong understanding of process governance, operating models, control frameworks, and cross-functional execution.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, align complex regional priorities, and drive consistency across diverse operating environments.
- Experience identifying root causes, managing operational risks, and converting process weaknesses into practical improvement plans.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay Range: $150,637.50 - $200.850.00+ (Based on Experience)
