Description

Community Solutions is seeking a passionate Data & Compliance Specialist to join our team at The Learning Institute located in Southington, CT or with our team in San Bernardino, CA. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data within the agency's information systems. This mid-level role develops reports, dashboards, and analyses that inform program oversight and strategic decision-making. The analyst supports program staff by improving data workflows, strengthening data quality across intake, service delivery, and outcomes, and coordinating preparations for audits, accreditation reviews, and funder monitoring. The role serves as a bridge between program operations and technical systems, ensuring data is reliable, actionable, and compliant with reporting requirements.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (This position will also have some hybrid opportunity)

Hourly Rate: $29.00 per hour

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

Support & Data Integrity



  • Maintain and oversee the information system, including user profiles, permissions, data fields, and workflow configurations.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across programs.
  • Develop and update data entry standards, procedures, and job aids to support uniform data practices.
  • Coordinate with program leadership to refine workflows that improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Work with program teams to provide documentation guidance and training necessary to assure data integrity and compliance.


Reporting & Analytics



  • Build, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards for program managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends in service utilization, performance measures, timeliness, outcomes, and compliance indicators.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal management and funders.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that support operational and strategic decisions.


Audit, Monitoring, & Accreditation Preparedness



  • Serve as the primary data lead for accreditations, external audits, state/federal monitoring visits, and grant reporting requirements.
  • Prepare required documentation, data extracts, metrics, and evidence demonstrating compliance with standards.
  • Support staff in readiness activities, helping them understand data expectations and identify improvements before audits occur.
  • Track findings, corrective actions, and follow-up tasks until all items are resolved.


Training & Stakeholder Support



  • Train staff on data entry, reporting tools, documentation standards, and new system features.
  • Respond to data or reporting requests from program directors, supervisors, or external partners.
  • Act as liaison between program staff, IT, and system vendors when enhancements, issues, or updates arise.


Process Improvement



  • Identify gaps in reporting, documentation, or system configurations that affect service delivery or compliance.
  • Lead or support projects that modernize workflows, increase automation, or boost data reliability.
  • Coordinate electronic case record enhancements, report building, screen alterations and outlining auto populating fields and field to report connections.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure updates related to case management data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Since CSIs founding in 1962, it has been a pioneer in the community-based service. We have been delivering supervision, treatment, and comprehensive individualized services to help clients interact more effectively in their communities and become productive citizens. Using this plan, we built the first ever halfway house in New England which has now been replicated and grown to almost 50 programs in 9 states. For over 50 years, CSI has been building upon its successful foundations and has been expanding its services to serve thousands of adults, youth, and families each year.

CSI understands clients and staff have been impacted by trauma. CSI is becoming a trauma-informed organization by hiring individuals with existing experience in trauma-informed practices as well as supporting ongoing staff development with trauma-informed practices. This will include learning to recognize symptoms of trauma and how to respond, through training starting at orientation and throughout their career at CSI. CSI is committed to systematically evaluating the integration of the trauma-informed values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment at all levels of the organization's policies, procedures, and structures to guard against the possibility of re-traumatization.

Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Analytics or a similar discipline. Education can be replaced with experience on a year-by-year basis.
  • 3-6 years of experience in client case record data, program reporting, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience with case management information systems (e.g., Credible, Harmony, CT-KIN, ETO, Apricot, SACWIS/CCWIS platforms, or similar).
  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL or other querying tools, and business intelligence/reporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and produce clear narrative and visual reports.
  • Experience preparing documentation and data for audits, monitoring visits, or accreditation bodies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into practical guidance for staff.


Preferred



  • Experience working in human services, behavioral health, juvenile justice, child welfare, or public sector programs.
  • Familiarity with compliance or reporting standards from state agencies, federal funders, COA/CARF accreditation, etc.
  • Ability to support workflow redesign and system enhancements.
