Position Description The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This position focuses on technical leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency and product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues. Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Support new product introductions by providing design for manufacturing feedback to design engineering and then developing and validating manufacturing processes. Create and maintain process documentation including standard work, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Participate in capital equipment selection and justification. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues. Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools. Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools. Why Choose Modine? The specific offer will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and other job-related considerations but will be within the stated range.
