We are seeking a strategic Packaging Designer to support our client onsite. This role treats packaging as an extension of iconic brands and products. As part of a cross-functional division, you'll craft a premium unboxing experience, develop content strategy and design all components of high-quality packaging. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of shaping customer experience across a wide range of brands. The successful candidate should have prior experience in sustainable, retail packaging design and implementation.

This role is hybrid (3+ days onsite), based in Mountain View, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the brand system and packaging requirements as creative boundaries that help you to innovate across a variety of specs and products
• Design the entire unboxing experience, from outer packaging to all packaging print inserts and the tiniest of details
• Partner with the client team, actively contributing strategically to design and brainstorming sessions
• Present design concepts, lead working sessions and design reviews
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional client teams and stakeholders on delivering exceptional solutions
• Maintain immaculate design files throughout the design development process and work with the client production team to create flawless mechanicals
• Produce pristine creative deliverables across various hardware form factors and international markets, adhering strictly to stakeholder schedules (typically 2 to 7 business days) while maintaining brand harmony and flawless design accuracy

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• BFA, BA or BS degree in graphic design or related discipline
• Ideally 8+ years of experience in print and/or packaging design
• A type nerd - you love playing with shape and brand expression through form factors
• Highly organized problem-solver with rigorous attention to detail - if something is off by a pixel, you'll know
• Proficient print production skills required

• Dedication to work with brand systems and production requirements
• Self-motivated, flexible individual with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intuitive ability to translate complex ideas into clear, simple design solutions
• Effectively navigate and operate in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing work environment
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Contains a love of efficiency, the desire to produce a high-quality deliverable, and an ability to execute against multiple projects in a technical work environment with often uncertain circumstances

For New York and California applicants: The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors and are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives.
