Position Title: Quality Engineer
Wage: Based on Experience A growing manufacturer in Jackson is seeking a Quality Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems, customer satisfaction, and supplier performance. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of quality investigations, corrective actions, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a highly visible manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional who enjoys working directly with production teams, solving problems at the root cause, and driving issues through resolution. This role is best suited for a Quality Engineer who enjoys balancing technical quality systems work with active involvement on the manufacturing floor. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading investigations, driving corrective actions, and collaborating across multiple departments. Quality Engineer Responsibilities: - Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and non-conformances - Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities (CAPA) - Partner with suppliers to address quality concerns and improve performance - Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections - Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation - Conduct audits and ensure compliance with quality standards - Analyze quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities - Work closely with Operations and Engineering to implement corrective actions - Support containment activities and shop-floor quality initiatives Requirements for Quality Engineer: - 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment - Experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions - Knowledge of supplier quality and customer quality processes - Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments - Proficiency with quality documentation, reporting, and problem-solving tools - Experience using inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges and comparators - Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills - Ability to independently manage and close quality-related issues - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline preferred - Experience working directly with customers and suppliers is a plus - Experience writing quality procedures and work instructions preferred - Manufacturing quality experience in metal fabrication, assembly, industrial products, or related industries is a plus - Exposure to union manufacturing environments preferred What Makes This Opportunity Attractive: - High-visibility role with ownership of critical quality initiatives - Opportunity to make a measurable impact within a lean, collaborative quality team - Direct interaction with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers - Stable manufacturing environment with strong leadership support - Broad exposure to quality systems, supplier quality, customer quality, and continuous improvement activities - Opportunity to become a key contributor and trusted quality resource for the facility Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
