Position Summary The Performance Manager provides hands-on leadership and oversight of airport operations while ensuring employees consistently meet operational, safety, service, and performance expectations. This position supervises and coordinates team activities, coaches and develops employees, supports staffing and scheduling, monitors overtime and operational performance, promotes team development, and ensures work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards. The Performance Manager serves as a visible operational leader who helps drive accountability, consistency, teamwork, and strong day-to-day execution. Benefits:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate employee activities related to daily airport operations.
- Provide active leadership and support to frontline employees during assigned operations.
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas requiring immediate attention.
- Help ensure staffing resources are appropriately aligned with operational needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with operational leadership regarding staffing, performance, and operational concerns.
- Assist with resolving day-to-day operational challenges.
- Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and effectively.
- Perform other related duties within the appropriate skills, experience, and capabilities expected of the position.
Employee Leadership & Accountability
- Coach, counsel, mentor, and develop employees.
- Communicate performance expectations clearly and consistently.
- Provide employees with appropriate feedback and direction.
- Address performance or conduct concerns when necessary.
- Issue disciplinary action when required and appropriate.
- Promote accountability and consistent application of company expectations.
- Encourage professional behavior, teamwork, reliability, and ownership.

Staffing, Scheduling & Administrative Support
- Assist with employee recruiting activities.
- Support employee scheduling and general administrative responsibilities.
- Assist with payroll-related responsibilities.
- Monitor staffing levels.
- Monitor and manage overtime usage within the scope of the position.
- Communicate staffing concerns and operational needs to station leadership.
- Support accurate and organized completion of required administrative responsibilities.
Performance Management
- Monitor the operational performance of the assigned station or operation.
- Monitor financial performance within the responsibilities assigned to the position.
- Identify performance concerns requiring leadership attention.
- Reinforce established operational expectations with employees.
- Support initiatives intended to strengthen overall team and station performance.
- Maintain a strong focus on accountability and continuous operational improvement.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling industry.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift, greater than 70lbs and constantly lift up to 70 lbs; Constantly push, pull up to 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.
Working conditions:
- Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
- Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
