Position Summary

The Yoga Therapist (Instructor) - PRN will work with patients with a range of physical abilities, mental illness diagnosis, & substance abuse issues. Combining a variety of techniques to aid in a person's personal recovery process by way of utilizing physical techniques (e.g., stretching and/or strengthening yoga postures), mindfulness lessons, meditation, and mental training (e.g., breath work or somatic awareness exercises). Individualized documentation will be required for each patient seen immediately following the completion of each 1 hour session.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate indvidual and group yoga session appropriate for various physical abilities and mental health needs
• Educate patients on the benefits of yoga for stress reduction, sleep improvement, and mood regulation
• Maintained professional boundaries and trauma-informed practices at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Degree in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum one (3) year(s) of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Licensure: Yoga Therapist or Yoaga Instructor creditial with 200 hours required. Yoga Therapist or Yoaga Instructor creditial with 500 hours or 800 hours preferred. Licensures in LPC, LMSW, LCSW, CTRS or MT-BC highly desirable, preferred.
