Shipping and Receiving Lead

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic to advanced computer skills, including inventory tracking systems, spreadsheets, databases, and shipping software.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate rates, percentages, weights, and quantities.
• Ability to understand and follow shipping, receiving, safety, and quality procedures.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
• Experience preparing bills of lading, packing slips, freight documents, and carrier paperwork.
• Experience with inventory control, materials tracking, and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Previous forklift and powered industrial vehicle operation required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
• Leadership experience training, supporting, or overseeing team members preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs., frequently lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, loading, unloading, and material handling throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, skids, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment while meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Job Duties

• Lead daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials and finished products.
• Load, unload, stage, transport, stack, and distribute materials using forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments against bills of lading, packing slips, shipping orders, and customer requirements.
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, freight paperwork, and carrier documentation for FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL, and freight shipments.
• Maintain inventory records, shipping files, receiving documentation, and tracking systems.
• Support load planning, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and customer delivery schedules.
• Inspect products and shipments to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
• Assist with training, safety initiatives, process improvements, and departmental projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment while following all safety and quality standards.
