About the Role

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and user experience of a major online retail platform. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the visual standards that guide customer interaction, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence across various digital touchpoints. Your designs will directly influence customer engagement and the overall aesthetic quality of the online shopping journey, making a tangible impact on a global scale.

What You'll Do

• Design strongly branded promotional graphics that capture attention and drive customer action, directly influencing purchasing decisions.
• Optimize digital images for maximum download efficiency without compromising visual quality, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Develop clean, effective graphic templates and styleguides to ensure brand consistency and streamline production workflows across the platform.
• Manage multiple project requests simultaneously, consistently meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, contributing to rapid content deployment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Online portfolio of work is REQUIRED, showcasing your design prowess and relevant experience.
• 4+ years of minimum experience in a web production environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of digital design workflows.
• BA/BS in Design or equivalent practical experience, providing a solid foundation in design principles.
• Excellent Adobe Photoshop skills, essential for high-quality image manipulation and graphic creation.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS, enabling comprehensive web design and development capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, crucial for managing complex projects and maintaining visual consistency.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with key stakeholders to bring design visions to life.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently to drive projects to completion, contributing proactively to team goals.
• Demonstrated web expertise, intrinsic design ability, and strong typographic skills, ensuring visually compelling and effective digital content.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Flash and ActionScript, adding versatility to interactive design capabilities.
• Previous retail web experience, offering valuable insights into e-commerce design best practices.
• Illustration skills, enhancing creative output and unique visual content development.
