Network Infrastructure Engineer (Up to 75% CONUS/OCONUS Travel)

Support installation, modernization, integration, and sustainment of network infrastructure supporting Navy shore based data centers and communications environments.
• Install, route, dress, label, terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic network infrastructure.
• Perform installation and troubleshooting of CAT5E, CAT6, and CAT6A copper cabling and Single Mode and Multimode fiber, including OS2, OM1, OM3, and OM4.
• Troubleshoot Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) Layer 1 connectivity issues.
• Install and troubleshoot fiber optic transceivers and related network components, including SFPs, QSFPs, and media converters.
• Perform copper and fiber testing and validation using appropriate test equipment to identify cabling, termination, optical, and connectivity faults.
• Support site surveys, installation planning, equipment staging, installation execution, testing, checkout, and post installation troubleshooting.
• Support data center infrastructure activities including rack installation, cable ladders, cable management, equipment placement, and hot aisle/cold aisle environments.
• Support outside plant fiber installation activities and comply with applicable OSHA, confined space, and site safety requirements.
• Execute work in accordance with approved network diagrams, cable schedules, configuration documentation, installation procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support Navy installation testing and Fleet certification activities, including PITCO, System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), installation documentation, discrepancy resolution, and Naval Installation Fleet Certification requirements.
• Support formal Navy change control and Fleet Readiness Change Board (FRCB) processes associated with network installation and modernization activities.
• Document installation status, test results, discrepancies, configuration changes, and completion activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, program management, and customer personnel to resolve installation issues and maintain installation schedules.
• Travel up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS to Navy installations, data centers, integration facilities, and other government locations.
• Support irregular work schedules when required during installation, testing, cutover, or operational maintenance windows

• 3+ of information technology, network installation, telecommunications, or related technical experience.
• Current or able to obtain CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification
• CompTIA Security+ CE or other certification meeting applicable DoD 8140 workforce requirements.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience installing and troubleshooting copper network infrastructure, including CAT5E, CAT6, and CAT6A.
• Demonstrated experience working with Single Mode and Multimode fiber, including OS2, OM1, OM3, and OM4.
• Experience troubleshooting WAN and LAN Layer 1 connectivity issues.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting fiber optic transceivers, including SFPs, QSFPs, and media converters.
• Experience testing and validating copper and fiber infrastructure using appropriate test equipment.
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, including equipment racks, cable ladders, structured cable management, and hot aisle/cold aisle environments.
• Knowledge of outside plant fiber installation practices and applicable safety requirements.
• Ability to read and follow network diagrams, cable schedules, installation drawings, technical procedures, and configuration documentation.
• Ability to travel up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS.
• Must be able to relocate to Charleston, SC.

• Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense network infrastructure.
• Experience supporting Navy shore based C4I, C5I, or C6I environments.
• Experience supporting Navy tactical or enterprise network environments.
• Experience supporting Navy installation, testing, Fleet certification, or modernization activities.
• Familiarity with PITCO, SOVT, Naval Installation Fleet Certification requirements, and FRCB processes.
• Previous experience supporting NIWC Atlantic, NIWC Pacific, NAVWAR, PEO C4I, or Navy Fleet organizations.
• Experience supporting Navy tactical and enterprise network environments within shore based data centers, communications facilities, or network transport infrastructure.

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY

• 75% Travel, able to travel for up to a month at a time, usually, one to two weeks
• Able to obtain US Passport (company pays)
• Driver's license required
• Willing to drive overseas to include (Left side of the road I.E. England, Japan etc.)
• No Company travel credit card, company Reimbursement travel
