Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Employment: Contract (6 months)

Compensation: $ 25.30 - $63.74/Hrs

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded real-time software using platforms such as VxWorks and Linux.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define performance requirements, develop interfaces between software and hardware, and support system-level design.
  • Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation through integration and formal testing.
  • Develop software test plans, procedures, technical documentation, and participate in peer reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Diagnose, track, and resolve software defects while working with programming languages, compilers, and application environments across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time systems.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • 1+ year of experience in software development particularly utilizing object-oriented programming methodologies
  • 1+ year of experience in high performance and multi-threaded programming

What Sets You Apart:
  • Good C++ skills
  • Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
  • Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System).
  • Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with key protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, or SNMP
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Solid presentation and writing skills
  • Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community.
