Responsibilities
- Enters, maintains, and reportsall medical history, medical coding, and filesclaims usinganElectronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Patientvisit supportthatmayinclude: Greetingpatients,and escorting patient to exam roomand/or taking patients' vital signs,and other applicable medical information to effectively supportthe reason for the patients visit and recommendedtreatment.
- Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments. Ensures patient exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for incoming patients. Providespatients with privacy, comfort, safety and hygiene.
- Assists in maintaininginventoryand stockingsupplies, instrumentsand equipment for all exam rooms.
- Maintains appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders received for completeness.
- Addressesand requestsreferrals and other insurance authorizations in addition to passingalong patient information for prescription, x-ray or lab requisitions to necessaryparties. This includes calls topharmacies, hospitals, and labs

- Associate's degree.
- Graduatefrom an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
- Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
- Current national certification as aCertified Medical Assistant(CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
