This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive (San Diego, CA) and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Involves identifying, building and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with new and existing stakeholders across the health enterprise. Activities include identifying opportunities to generate new business, working closely with cross functional teams and executive leadership to identify, develop and implement new growth opportunities.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall healthcare field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. Will manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

Applies advanced knowledge of business development to lead and facilitate strategic growth projects and initiatives. Implements operational changes that expand the reach of existing clinical programs, increase access to services, and improve patient care delivery. Drives initiatives that leverage technology and standardize processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5)) years of related experience/training. Related experience: healthcare analytics and/or strategy.

  • In-depth knowledge of business development concepts, best practices and functions.

  • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking and problem solving skills to assess complex issues and develop solutions.

  • Advanced planning, project management, change management, process improvement skills.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills to lead and work collaboratively and effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to positively interact with executives, providers and staff at all levels.

  • Advanced ability to develop comprehensive reports and presentations.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and influence others.

  • Ability to achieve measurable results in a diverse stakeholder landscape balancing competing and conflicting interests.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree (MBA, MPH, MHA).

  • Project Management experience.

  • Strategic planning / initiative development experience.

  • Presentation development and public speaking experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $123,000 - $237,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $58.91 - $113.89

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
