Job Title: SQL Server DBA Maintenance & Monitoring Services Location(s): Lake Mary, FL Role Summary This engagement is for a remote SQL Server DBA support team providing ongoing maintenance, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational support. Key requirements:
- Minimum 1.0 FTE equivalent.
- Resources may be onshore, nearshore, or offshore.
- Must provide sufficient overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours for collaboration and incident response.
- Initial 6-month engagement, with potential extension of 2-3 years based on performance and business requirements.
- Strong experience supporting large-scale, complex SQL Server environments.
- Proactive DBA capabilities, including performance monitoring, tuning, capacity management, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, patching, and maintenance.
- Ability to support future project initiatives such as automation, infrastructure improvements, upgrades, migrations, and performance enhancements.
- Strong incident management, escalation, communication, and operational reporting processes.
- Ability to transition and onboard quickly, establish monitoring and maintenance processes, and reach steady-state operations efficiently.
Ideal Candidate / Resource Profile The ideal resource should have:
- Strong SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in SQL Server administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience managing production databases with significant transaction volumes and business-critical workloads.
- Experience with SQL Server upgrades, migrations, patching, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Automation/scripting experience using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
- Strong ITIL/incident-management and operational support practices.
- Ability to work effectively with U.S.-based technical and business teams.
- Relevant Microsoft SQL Server certifications are preferred.
