Licensed Psychologist Per Diem

Provides quality psychological services to adolescent, child and/or adult patients to address mental health needs to children and/or teens with academic/occupational, behavioral, social, emotional, or chemical dependency challenges and their families/caregivers. Provides a comprehensive range of services according to scope of practice, often in multidisciplinary settings or as a member of interdisciplinary teams, to patients and their families/caregivers, with the goal of enhancing daily life functioning, and supporting the organization's mission and vision, and as applicable treatment program philosophy.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Administer psychological tests and related report writing as indicated, provide timely documentation summarizing testing findings, interpretation of said findings, and communicating/collaborating about resulting findings to appropriate others which may include but is not limited to the patient/caregivers, referring provider/treatment team, and collaborating providers/caregivers.
• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy as appropriate for assigned patients, with scheduling according to organizational expectations.
• Engage in supervision responsibilities for psychologist trainees, associate therapists, peers or colleagues based on indication, scope of practice, and qualifications.
• May provide coverage for or support of partial hospital or hospital-based services as the need arises and as within scope of practice/licensure.
• Coordinate care with other providers and treatment teams both internally and externally (with proper ROI), as applicable, especially upon initiation of services and discharge and otherwise as indicated.
• Communicate with caregivers/guardians to keep them involved in treatment decisions. * As applicable, contribute to interdisciplinary teams the perspectives of their unique training and clinical lens.
• Maintains current competency in effective de-escalation of patients using Collaborative Problem Solving , therapeutic self, relationship-based care, and trauma informed care, as applicable to role.
• Oriented towards, educated in and embraces trauma informed and interculturally responsive functioning from lenses of gender, race, age, and other cultural identifications and differences.
• Participate in improvement projects, committee opportunities or clinical enhancement opportunities including research and consultation.
• Attend required training seminars, staff/team meetings, and/or rounds as applicable. Engage as an active participant within organizational or level of care initiatives.
• Maintain clinical records and confidentiality of client medical records according to PrairieCare policies, level of care requirements, and HIPAA rules.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing records per policy and level of care requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Requires a doctorate degree or master's degree in Psychology, current licensure as a psychologist in State of Minnesota (LP), remain in ethical standing with licensing board, and qualified to maintain credentialing with all insurance panels.

Previous Experience: Must have academic, experiential and licensing foundation and qualifications to meet standards in administering and interpreting psychological tests.

Compensation range for this per diem position is $50.00/hr. - $74.00/hr., depending on education and experience.
