Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Location: 400 Lincoln Highway Merrillville IN

Training 880 eastport centre drive 2nd floor Valparaiso IN

Duration: 3 Months

Schedule: 7am to 8 pm

Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project/Assignment? - Floating to multiple sites within my territory in Northwest Indiana.

What would automatically disqualify a candidate for consideration?

Less than 3 years' experience, not having reliable transportation and not having a flexible schedule and open availability

Our client is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join their team in Merrillville IN The ideal candidate will have experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital environment while maintaining exceptional patient care and specimen integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

* Performing venipuncture and specimen collection

* Processing and preparing specimens for testing

* Managing and coordinating specimen drop-offs for the client

* Providing excellent patient service while maintaining quality and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting.
• Overall 2-4 years of healthcare/phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Proficiency in venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
• Experience processing and handling laboratory specimens.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Valid Phlebotomy Certification if required by state regulations.
