SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Finance Manager - R&D will be responsible for developing financial forecasts, crafting management reports, supporting close cycles, and delivering strategic analyses for the PSC organization. This position serves as the primary finance partner to the Pharmaceutical Operations and Supply Chain (PSC) organization, which comprises all technical operations/CMC activities, including manufacturing, validation, drug product/substance, and testing. This Senior Finance Manager - R&D acts as a key advisor to the Head of PSC and each of the PSC cost center leaders, contributing to the organization's achievement of its targets and ensuring financial discipline in the allocation of resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with PSC functional leaders to drive results that are aligned with corporate targets/objectives
- Develop bottoms-up PSC financial forecasts and regularly monitor performance against forecasts
- Own the financial planning process for all CMC groups, including manufacturing, validation, drug substance, drug product, testing, and biologics activities
- Cultivate discipline and accountability across PSC business teams, ensuring projections align with clinical development timelines
- Drive continuous improvement and training with PSC business teams to bolster literacy of accrual methodologies and financial targets
- Support monthly close process; validate PSC accruals in collaboration with accounting team
- Partner with study delivery leads to develop clinical trial forecasts that accurately reflect study plans and requirements
- Serve as FP&A point of contact for PSC CAPEX support
- Assist FP&A clinical accrual team with clinical site accrual model updates
- Support ad hoc projects as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education
- BS/BA degree in related discipline and 9 years of related experience; or,
- MS/MBA/MA degree in related discipline and 7 years of related experience; or,
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- CMC / technical operations forecasting experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of Public Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience
- Minimum of 5 years in business-partner-facing finance role
- Experience with financial planning systems required (e.g., Oracle EPBCS, Hyperion, Netsuite, or similar)
- Demonstrated growth in responsibility in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or similar finance function

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $152,000 - $215,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
