The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Adjunct Instructor. This position will provide instruction to students in the field of Judaic Studies. This is a non-tenure-eligible position for the 2026-2027 Academic Term. The position is within the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, which is housed within the School of Global Studies in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Your teaching load may make you eligible for benefits if you work a 0.50 FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. As courses and loads are determined, we will notify employees should they gain benefits eligibility status.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Arizona Center for Judaic Studies at the University of
Arizona seeks an adjunct instructor to provide part-time instruction for Judaic Studies major
and minor students, and all interested UA students, for the 2026-2027 Academic Term, contingent upon the availability
of funding and enrollments.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Instruct
    undergraduate students in their field of expertise.
  • Plan
    class lectures and assignments.
  • Grade
    assigned papers and exams.
  • Hold
    regular office hours.
  • Assign
    grades to students based on their performance in class assignments and exams.
  • Attend
    meetings as required.
  • Administer the Hebrew
    Program within the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in related field and at least five years of professional experience.
  • Experience in undergraduate teaching.
