Who we are looking for: We are seeking a Banking Customer Service Representative to join our branch team! You'll be on the front lines of delivering exceptional service while working for an innovative community bank with commercial lending expertise, a national mortgage lending platform, and a digital deposit bank serving customers across more than 40 states. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a key role in creating an outstanding customer experience by assisting with everyday banking transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on financial products and digital banking services, and building lasting relationships. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Personal Banker and Teller, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and helping customers achieve their financial goals. What you'll do: * Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients in person and over the phone while creating a welcoming banking experience. * Build relationships with customers by listening to their needs and identifying appropriate banking products and services. * Open and maintain consumer deposit accounts, including checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and other retail banking products. * Recommend banking products and services, including consumer lending and deposit solutions, based on customers' financial goals. * Assist customers with debit card maintenance, including instant issue card creation, replacements, PIN assistance, and troubleshooting. * Educate customers on digital banking services, including online banking, mobile banking, and other self-service tools. * Answer customer questions regarding accounts, products, services, and general banking inquiries. * Process account maintenance requests, stop payments, account closures, and related documentation. * Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and applicable banking regulations. * Refer complex customer issues to appropriate team members while resolving routine requests independently. * Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. * Balance teller drawer daily while maintaining established cash limits. * Operate, maintain, and balance cash dispensing equipment and ATMs. * Research and resolve routine transaction discrepancies. * Assist with branch operational support and contribute to the overall success of the branch team. What you'll need to be successful: Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications: * Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine desire to help others. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Adaptability and willingness to learn new products, services, and technology. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. * Experience opening new accounts and processing retail banking transactions preferred. * Cash handling experience required. * Knowledge of retail banking products, consumer lending, and digital banking services preferred. * Knowledge of bank compliance, laws, and regulations. * High School Diploma / GED Required * This position requires 2+ years of experience in banking, financial services, teller operations, personal banking, or a similar customer-facing financial role preferred.
