Job Description

Position Summary:

  • Under direct supervision, Quality Inspector - Level 1 train to develop the ability to use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspection of products such as machined parts, mechanical assemblies, processed parts and purchased standard hardware. They also perform verifications of part identification and configurations.

Reporting Relationships:

The Quality Inspector - Level 1 reports directly to the Inspection Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machine parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
  • Document FAI report
  • Document non-conformances
  • May occasionally perform special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, Bushing and bearing installation, electrical bonding, and fastener installation as required.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting blueprints and engineering requirements
  • Basic understanding of BQMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
  • Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace terminology and nomenclature
  • Experienced with basic manual inspection tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals.

Shift:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Level of Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.50 to $30.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
