What You'll Do:
  • Operate forklifts, reach stackers, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport parts and materials between operations.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and minor tasks, including changing nozzles, verifying oil levels, and checking filters.
  • Complete required operational records, product identification, measurements, testing, and quality data accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including returning tooling, fixtures, attachments, and equipment to their designated locations.
  • Collaborate with teammates by providing support with training, material handling, measurements, and changing priorities while following established procedures and policies.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in processes and procedures for the set-ups, operations, and various products, tools, and equipment used for one phase of manufacturing by the Transitions department at the client.
  • 2+ years of Forklift experience.

  • Ability to complete forklift, crane operator, and LPI certifications.
  • Computer knowledge needed: basic keyboarding and computer usage.
  • Needs the use of significant judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to work independently toward meeting objectives for involved and complex jobs, as well as the ability to devise methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions and assist in solving complex problems across a multitude of processes.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Abides by all company policies regarding safety and health rules and regulations.
  • Work is performed in a plant/production environment where noise, dirt, oil, grease, and solvents are present, but not to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • General mental and visual attention is necessary when performing complex process operations to hold the close tolerances per drawing specifications.
  • Have normal or corrected vision, hearing, and the ability to smell to be aware of proper operation of machinery and to detect any potential safety hazards.
  • When performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to bend and stoop at the waist; crouch, stretch, and reach; stand, walk, and rotate the body.
  • Job duties also needs being able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull lathe drivers and other items weighing approximately 5 to 25 pounds over 70% of the time.
  • Lifting of items up to 50 pounds can be expected of the operator.
  • Awkward positions are sometimes required when changing tools and tool bars.
  • Have good manual dexterity for CNC and manual equipment, for grasping and handling tools.
  • Care should be taken when lifting, pushing, and pulling in awkward positions to avoid strains.
  • Extra caution should be observed to avoid flying chips and sharp edges.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of various types is required per the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) throughout the work area.
  • Safety shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, hard hat, apron, protective clothing, and mask are required in all production areas.
  • Sit-down and stand-up, electric and propane.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a 'U.S. Person', as defined in ITAR clause 120.15.
