Now Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Pay Rate: $45.00/hour

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support supplier quality, manufacturing operations, and supply chain performance for a leading medical device organization. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in supplier engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, and regulated industries who enjoys cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support supplier qualification, material validation, and engineering projects.
  • Partner with sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve material and supply chain issues.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for supplier-related defects.
  • Coordinate supplier change notifications and change impact assessments.
  • Drive supplier process improvements using engineering and quality methodologies.
  • Support material investigations, risk assessments, and quality system requirements.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure product quality and continuity of supply.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of Supplier Engineering experience.
  • Medical device industry experience required.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and purchased components.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFM, statistical methods, and structured problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% globally.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience within highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
