What to Expect
Tesla Energy has reshaped energy storage business models. As we launch new products, we also sell a growing set of services that stretch beyond what a standard operational model can support. This role owns operationalizing new and non-standard service offerings for Energy, with a primary focus on Industrial-scale Megapacks and unannounced Industrial and Commercial products. You may also support Residential Powerwalls and Superchargers. You will partner with Product, Sales Engineering, and Asset Management to define the software, firmware, and operational process changes required so Service can deliver against contracts and SLAs. Success is measured by whether new Tesla Energy products and services launch with the operational scaffolding in place.
What You'll Do
- Own implementation of new offerings that affect operations, training, tooling, warranty, billing, and reporting for commercial teams; align stakeholders on scope and deliver both short-term manual processes and long-term scalable solutions
- Assess maintenance and service readiness across the fleet against contracts and SLAs, and confirm obligations can be met before steady-state operations takes ownership
- Enable Asset Management and customer relationship workflows for new offerings by configuring warranty and monitoring data and customer reporting without one-off spreadsheets, and execute manual processes when longer-term solutions are not yet available
- Drive execution readiness across partner organizations; escalate risks and develop contingency plans when committed deliverables may fail to meet sold obligations
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in product or program management, operations, or related work with a strong focus on process improvement and operationalization (8+ preferred); experience in energy storage, grid-scale systems, or multi-product industrial aftermarket is a plus
- Proven ownership of intake-to-readiness workflows for offerings or obligations outside a standard catalog, including process design, gate criteria, and cross-functional punch lists, with sound judgment to distinguish launch-blocking issues from waivable ones
- Working fluency with contracts and service-level obligations, and the ability to translate commercial language into operational readiness checks (maintenance, monitoring, reporting, warranty)
- Systems thinking for asset and customer data, with comfort defining what must be true in data registries, warranty fields, monitoring, and customer reporting before a new product or service can launch
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across Sales, Commercial, Product, Field Technicians, Asset Management, and Engineering in a global environment
- Fluency with SQL and modern work-tracking tools (Jira/Confluence or equivalent), and judgment on when to use AI to streamline work
