Medical Assistant - Family Medicine Bourne, MA $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates Join Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, and be part of a collaborative care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across Massachusetts. As a Medical Assistant, you'll support clinicians by preparing patients for visits, performing routine clinical tasks, maintaining accurate medical records, and helping ensure a seamless patient experience. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, height, and weight Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures Update and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Review medications, allergies, and medical histories Perform waived point-of-care testing, including strep, urine, glucose, and pregnancy testing Coordinate patient flow and communicate visit updates and delays Support prescription refill processes and patient care follow-up Deliver compassionate, professional service to patients and families Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Medical Assistant Certification Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems Strong communication and patient service skills Preferred Qualifications Medical Assistant certification program or Associate degree 1+ years of clinical or healthcare customer service experience EMR experience ACLS certification (may be required by specialty) Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employee stock purchase program, paid time off, career development opportunities, and more.
