RN Float Pool - FT Days

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered Nurse to join our team for full-time day shifts. The ideal candidate will be cross-trained across multiple units, including medical/surgical, ICU, and ER, and possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with critical care experience.

• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) system, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years of hire.

Minimum: Currently licensed by New York State as a registered professional nurse.

• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
• Computer literacy is required; experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records is preferred.

• New York State RN License and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree are required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in MedSurg/Tele/Critical Care Units is required.

The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. They must interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provide the care needed by pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
