Overview
VTG is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work on on projects contributing considerably toward closing the intercept capability gap for state and local law enforcement agencies. This role is 100% onsite in Fredericksburg, VA.
What will you do?
Provide services in the general Solution Verification Testing process which involves the following: Research ELSUR and prepared an Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) addendum (subset of the entire ATP for testing a specific platform); Execute test plan addendum either on-site or remote for Standards and Operational Testing; Collect and analyze test data; quantify issues with ELSUR technical solutions (i.e., identify problems with the ELSUR technical solutions that would impact LE); Verify that ELSUR technical solutions developed in accordance with the assistance capability requirements of CALEA, the applicable industry standard, and/or the manufacturer's Feature Specification Document; Verify ELSUR technical solutions LE's requirements; Rrecommend corrective action to the ELSUR technical solution manufacturer's based on test results; support NDCAC/CIP negotiations with manufacturer/service provider for closure of identified ELSUR technical solution issues; develop test plans; archive test data and develop ELSUR technical solutions documentation (ie.., issued list(s)), Test Results Assessment Report, CALEA Solution Feature Reference Guide; Generate test results reports within a two-week timeframe from the completion of the solution assessment and document in the FBI's record keeping system; Collaborate with the Operational Technology Division (OTD) Operational Units, the NDCAC and other LE agencies, when appropriate, to ascertain and share information that may impact operations/compliance; Brief CIP personnel on ELSUR test results and analysis and discuss any issues and/or concerns with results.
Do you have what it takes?
- Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor of science degree in an applicable field.
Minimum of seven (7) years of more of technical experience performing and implementing security requirements and system design of computer systems. CISSP certification and training as a certified ethical hacker, as well as, strong experience troubleshooting networks utilizing wireshark or other packet analyzer tools. Proficiency in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as a sound technical, technical aptitude for Virtual Private Network (VPN) software, FTP, TCP, ASN.1, IPv6, and VoIP related protocols, window patch management, software development, and inventory management. This support shall enable the CIP to monitor the installation of components at designated locations while monitoring the prime/developmental contractors' technical schedule and deliverables.
*Position contingent upon contract award* VTG's estimated starting pay range is $120,000-$190,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
