Title: Contracts Specialist
Location: San Diego, CA 921921 Onsite Duration: 6 months Top 5 Required Skills Complex contract drafting, negotiation, and administration Supplier agreement management (supply agreement, software licensing, technology, and services agreements) Contract risk assessment and mitigation (warranty, liability, confidentiality, IP protection) Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams Contract process improvement and contract lifecycle management systems administration Technologies / Knowledge Required Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and services Software licensing and intellectual property agreements Foundry IP licensing and semiconductor industry contracting Direct procurement, NPI contracts, and contract manufacturing contracts Contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for contract analysis and presentations Required Education Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, Law, Supply Chain, Contract Management, Master of Legal Studies, or a related field. Job Summary Draft, negotiate, and execute complex, high-impact supplier agreements in collaboration with Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing agreements related to EDA tools and services, software licensing, foundry IP licensing, IoT technologies, production devices, and service agreements. The role partners closely with sourcing, engineering, and legal teams to develop contract strategies that protect business interests, intellectual property, and technology leadership position while enabling access to advanced tools, materials, and technologies. The position requires evaluating contractual terms, including warranty, liability, confidentiality, and other commercial provisions; assessing risk and implementing mitigation strategies; managing contract lifecycle processes and systems in compliance with business requirements and SOX controls; and driving process improvements that reduce cycle time and improve operational efficiency. | |
