Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly collaborative, and proactive Scientific Senior Project Coordinator to support a dynamic, fast-paced scientific environment with multiple active projects and partners. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring seamless coordination, clear communication, and successful execution across initiatives.

More than traditional project coordination, this role blends project management with scientific collaboration: you will partner closely with leadership and project teams, contribute meaningfully to scientific discussion, and keep initiatives aligned, informed, and advanced efficiently.

Role Overview:

  • Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators and collaborators to assist with project requests, billing activities, and necessary materials
  • Coordinate and manage every phase of multiple concurrent projects, including timelines, deliverables, budgets, meetings, and documentation to ensure smooth and timely progression
  • Organize and facilitate meetings with internal and external collaborators; prepare agendas, capture clear summaries, and track action items through completion
  • Serve as a central point of communication across collaborators, aligning teams, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum across initiatives
  • Translate complex discussions into concise insights, summaries, and next steps to keep all partners informed and accountable
  • Coordinate billing workflows by gathering project details, clarifying needs with PIs, collaborating with internal teams and external partners/vendors, and ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through
  • Act as a partner to project leadership by identifying risks, anticipating changes, and recommending solutions to improve workflow, efficiency, and project outcomes
  • Support tracking and analysis of project-related data; develop reports, presentations, and summaries as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Scientific background (e.g., research experience, or significant exposure to scientific environments)
  • Ability to understand scientific terminology and contribute meaningfully to project discussions
  • Proven ability to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and operate as a partner

  • Schedule: Onsite, 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $77,100.00 - $119,400.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
