The Packager fills, labels, and packages containers with finished products within an assigned production area of the facility in preparation for shipment to assure an uninterrupted supply of quality products to the customer. This position plays a major role in the supply chain by getting products packaged up and ready to go to their next destination.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare, label, package, and palletize filled containers for shipment. Package product by hand or by operating packaging equipment.
* Set-up, operate, and maintain various packaging equipment.
* Prepare sample orders and perform repack operations.
* Potential to operate a forklift.
* Utilize a barcode scanner.
* Stand (up to 100% of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 90% of the time), walk (up to 75% of the time), push/pull (up to 75% of the time), lift (up to 50% of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25% of the time).
* Move materials weighing up to 30 pounds (up to 25% of the time), lifting no more than waist high and carrying no more than 25 feet in distance, and occasionally move materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
* Work in warm (80 to 95 degrees) conditions.
* Additional duties as requested

Qualifications

WORK EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED
* Manufacturing experience.

EDUCATION
REQUIRED
* High school diploma or equivalent.
