Job Family Group: FacultyTime Type: Full timeDepartment/Office: Finance and Business AnalyticsExemption Status: ExemptJob Description: The Department of Finance and Business Analytics in the Neidorff School of Business at Trinity University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics, beginning in the Fall 2027 semester. Applicants must hold, or be near completion of, a Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited business school in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality research, teach and design undergraduate courses in business analytics and supply chain, and provide service to the University, the School, the department, the profession, and the community. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of effectiveness in teaching undergraduate business analytics and supply chain courses, along with an active research pipeline and evidence of scholarly productivity or strong potential for high-quality publications in business analytics, supply chain, or related fields. To support faculty scholarship, Trinity University and the Neidorff School of Business provide research funding, access to databases and technology resources, conference travel support, and pre-tenure academic leave opportunities.BACKGROUND Trinity University is a secular, independent, private institution, founded in 1869. The Michael Neidorff School of Business is accredited by AACSB International. Students can choose from six academic majors and several minors. An MS in Accounting is also offered. Housed in the newly renovated Chapman Center, the Michael Neidorff School of Business features state-of-the-art facilities to spur discovery, excellence, and inclusion. After undergoing a $33 million renovation, its reopening represents one of the final brush strokes in Trinity's bold envisioning of its future. With dedicated work spaces for each department in the School, the new Chapman Center supports faculty's teaching and scholarship. The Department of Finance and Business Analytics offers two undergraduate majors-Finance and Business Analytics-and is home to 13 dedicated faculty committed to teaching excellence and student success. The Business Analytics group, a close-knit team of 7 faculty supporting about 50 majors, delivers a rigorous and applied curriculum grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Students gain hands-on experience through industry sponsored projects and national analytics competitions that connect classroom learning to real-world business analytics. The department fosters a collaborative, student-centered environment that emphasizes teaching innovation, student career readiness, and the integration of finance and analytics. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Required: Ph.D degree completed or ABD with an expected completion date prior to August 2027 from an AACSB accredited business school in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Engineering is not considered a related field).
