About the Role

At Crowe, our Microsoft Business Applications practice helps organizations transform their operations through innovative, technology-enabled solutions. As a Manager - D365 ERP Operations Implementation Architect, you will play a strategic leadership role in designing and delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Operations solutions that drive operational excellence and business transformation for our clients.

In this client-facing role, you'll combine deep functional and technical expertise with strong consulting skills to architect enterprise solutions, lead implementation teams, mentor consultants, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality implementations while helping clients modernize supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and operational processes.

What You'll Do

As a Manager, you will provide leadership across solution architecture, implementation delivery, and client engagement by:

Solution Architecture & Implementation

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Operations solutions aligned to client business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Design comprehensive solution architectures including system integrations, data management, and application security.
  • Configure D365 ERP Operations modules including:
    • Sales
    • Purchasing
    • Inventory Management
    • Warehouse Management
    • Production
    • Planning
    • Product Information Management
    • Asset Management
    • Additional operations and supply chain capabilities
  • Develop functional solution designs for system enhancements and customizations across operations and logistics processes.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes to maximize the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.

Client Leadership & Consulting

  • Partner with executive stakeholders and business users to understand operational requirements and translate them into scalable ERP solutions.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and develop functional specifications, business scenarios, and solution documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout implementation, providing functional and technical guidance while building strong client relationships.
  • Support organizational change by developing training materials, conducting user training, and driving user adoption.

Delivery Excellence

  • Lead solution testing, quality assurance, and validation activities through comprehensive test plans, test cases, and execution.
  • Produce high-quality functional documentation, business process documentation, design specifications, and testing artifacts.
  • Manage project deliverables, identify implementation risks, and proactively communicate mitigation strategies to project leadership.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, change management professionals, and cross-functional delivery teams to ensure successful implementations.

Leadership & Practice Development

  • Mentor and develop consultants by sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and implementation experience.
  • Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP innovations, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Help shape the practice's ERP strategy by identifying new service offerings and technology opportunities.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying client opportunities, contributing to proposals, participating in sales pursuits, and helping develop go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft, third-party vendors, and strategic partners to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification relevant to ERP Operations or Supply Chain Management required. Candidates who have earned an MBA, JD, PhD, or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management may substitute the certification requirement.
  • 7+ years of experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Operations (Finance & Supply Chain Management) or equivalent ERP solutions.
  • Experience leading full lifecycle ERP implementations from solution design through deployment and post-go-live support.
  • Deep functional expertise across supply chain and operational business processes including procurement, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, production, planning, and asset management.
  • Experience designing ERP solution architecture including integrations, data management, and security.
  • Experience developing functional requirements, solution designs, testing strategies, and implementation documentation.
  • Strong client-facing consulting, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading project workstreams and mentoring implementation teams.
  • Ability to travel as client engagements require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate or other relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
  • Experience with Azure integration services, Power Platform, Dataverse, or related Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience integrating D365 ERP with CRM, ISV solutions, manufacturing systems, warehouse automation, or third-party applications.
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies, enterprise integration patterns, and ERP security architecture.
  • Experience leading large, complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Prior consulting experience with a professional services organization.
  • Experience supporting business development activities, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, coaching consultants, and developing high-performing talent.
