We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Rate Sales. This role is located in New York, NY. The Rates Sales professional is responsible for originating, developing, and managing client relationships across interest rate products and solutions. This role partners closely with trading, product, and relationship teams to deliver market insights, risk management ideas, and execution support to institutional clients. The individual will help drive revenue growth by identifying client needs and providing solutions across the rates platform. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, banks, insurance companies, broker dealers, RIA, pension funds, and corporates.
- Market and distribute rates products, including government bonds, swaps, inflation products, repos, and other interest rate derivatives.
- Generate trade ideas and investment/risk management solutions aligned with client objectives and market conditions.
- Partner with trading desks to provide pricing, liquidity, and execution support to clients.
- Monitor market developments, central bank activity, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory changes affecting rates markets.
- Communicate relevant market color, relative value opportunities, and product insights to clients in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with research, structuring, syndicate, and banking teams to deliver cross-product and tailored client solutions.
- Support new business origination efforts and contribute to revenue generation goals.
- Ensure all client activity is conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client engagement, pipeline activity, and sales opportunities in relevant systems.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- 10-12 years of total work experience preferred.
- Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred as is prior experience in a related customer-facing role, Sales Support, Global Capital Markets or Product Management.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred
