SUMMARY

The Vice President of Facility and Environmental Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for facility management and environmental services across Front Porch's market rate communities by ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant physical environments. This role oversees asset management, maintenance operations, infection prevention and control, permit acquisition, unit refurbishment, environmental services, and regulatory compliance to support resident well-being, operational excellence, and organizational performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Lead the strategic direction and execution of facility management and environmental services across all communities to ensure safe, clean, efficient, and well-maintained environments that support resident satisfaction, quality of care, and staff productivity.

* Develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals for facilities, environmental services, asset management, and infrastructure sustainability.

* Establish and oversee asset management systems, work order processes, and preventative maintenance programs to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

* Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicator's (KPIs) and benchmarks to evaluate performance, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement.

* Establish and enforce standards for cleanliness, safety, infection prevention, and environmental services across all communities.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cleanliness, safety, and resident experience. * Oversee environmental services programs, including housekeeping, laundry, waste management, recycling, and inventory management, ensuring consistent application throughout the organization.

* Partner with Development, Compliance and Ethics, and other internal departments to evaluate and audit compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., life safety codes, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), asbestos, infection control standards); maintain readiness for inspections, audits, and surveys.

* Collaborate with internal and external resources to support emergency preparedness, disaster planning, and response protocols; on the impact of expansion, new construction and routine capital projects; on infection prevention and control; vendor contracts, procurement, and service agreements; implementation of new technologies/systems, etc.

* Provide leadership, guidance, and support Facility Directors to ensure effective daily operations across maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and groundskeeping functions.

* Evaluate monthly and financial reports, staffing and outside services agreements to ensure facilities operate efficiently and safely, serving as a resource and support to develop and manage departmental budgets.

* Partner with executive leadership, legal, supply chain, and executive directors to oversee vendor contracts, procurement strategies, and service agreements.

* Perform all other related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Required:

  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities and/or environmental services and/or infection control, with demonstrated leadership in managing staff, budgets, and regulatory compliance
  • Bachelors Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field or Associate's Degree/Two years of college plus two years of related work experience or four years of related work experience in

Preferred:

  • 2 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, or multi-site residential environments strongly preferred
  • 2 years of comprehensive understanding of asset management systems
  • Master's Degree
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or similar certification related to healthcare facilities operations
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent credential in facilities management
  • Other relevant safety or environmental certifications
