The Patient Services Associate (PSA) serves as a key administrative support partner to the practice, combining limited medical front office responsibilities with a strong focus on provider support and credentialing activities. While assisting with patient reception, scheduling, and other front-desk functions as needed, the majority of this role is dedicated to managing provider credentialing and recredentialing processes, submitting and tracking provider business expenses, maintaining provider licensure and certification records, and monitoring Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The PSA works closely with providers, practice leadership, and administrative teams to ensure provider documentation remains current, expenses are processed accurately, and credentialing milestones are completed on time. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are critical to success in this position.
The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare administration, medical staff services, credentialing, provider relations, or medical office operations. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing compliance-related documentation, and capable of balancing provider support responsibilities with occasional patient-facing administrative duties.
