SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy and Perioperative Project Management Services, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of assigned projects. Applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close project activities. Delivers on-time, on-budget results, learning, and integration to meet organization and project needs. Maintains effective working relationships at all levels, both internal and external to Brown University Health departments, partners, and associates. RESPONSIBILITIES: actions with patients,customersand one another. * Develops project plans for all aspects of assigned projects and manages all project activities.
* Establishes and leads cross-functional project teams and status meetings.
* Obtains consensus and buy-in from key internal and external stakeholders for project timeline.
* Monitors and manages project scope, budget, forecast, resources, and deliverables within timeline.
* Maintains up-to-the-minute project action plans and serves as a resource to stakeholders throughout all project phases.
* Works directly and collaboratively to engage internal and external stakeholders throughout all project phases.
* Develops and mentors project team members.
* Provides timely, comprehensive project status reports, including budgets and timelines; ensures all stakeholders receive the required level of detail commensurate with their role.
* Provides input on strategic goals, tactical planning, and high-level staffing plans.
* Proactively identifies significant project risks, develops mitigation strategies, escalates to leadership, and implements approved mitigation steps.
* Develops and maintains subject matter expertise to effectively plan and fully execute assigned projects.
* Concurrently manages multiple system-wide projects, maintaining consistent focus, accountability, and on-time delivery across all assigned areas of responsibility.
* Leads and supports process improvement initiatives to identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities that enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance. * Facilitates process mapping and workflow design activities to evaluate current-state operations and develop optimized future-state workflows that drive improved efficiency. * Leads project closure activities, including documentation of outcomes, lessons learned, and after-action reviews to promote continuous improvement in project execution and collaboration.
* Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC KNOWLEDGE: * Bachelor's Degree required. * Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: * Three or more years of progressively responsible project management experience, preferably in a healthcare or health-system environment, required. * Proficiency with project management tools and software, including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio. * Working knowledge of project management methodologies, process improvement principles, and change management practices. * Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and analytic skills. * Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to articulate and translate complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals and audiences. * Demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses of available data to identify opportunities or risks. * Strong skillset in leading and implementing organizational changes. * Demonstrated project management competency; Project Management Certificate preferred. * Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
