As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Route in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech location as an unarmed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support day-to-day operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $26.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a large-scale technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, server and support areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access requirements, and support site access control procedures in accordance with location policies.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and assist with follow-up actions related to security-related operations and business continuity needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
