*About the Role* We are seeking a detail-oriented *Consumer Loan Processor* to support a high-volume lending team. This role is focused on reviewing, processing, and funding consumer loan applications while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely turnaround.
You will work closely with internal loan officers and business units to move loans efficiently through the pipeline-this is a fast-paced, production-driven environment with a strong emphasis on quality. *What You'll Do* * Review and audit loan applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy * Ensure all loans meet internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements * Partner with loan officers and internal teams to obtain required documentation and clear conditions * Generate loan contracts and send via DocuSign or mail for completion * Fund loans once all stipulations and requirements are satisfied * Work from a shared queue to process incoming applications * Manage a high volume of internal communication and follow-ups * Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly * Support system updates, testing, and special projects as needed *Day-to-Day Breakdown* * 70% loan processing & document review * 30% internal communication, follow-ups, and email correspondence *Work Environment & Volume* * Team processes approximately *2,500-3,200 loan applications per month* * Highly collaborative, working virtually with internal branches and service teams * Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong production expectations *Performance Expectations* * Strong focus on speed, accuracy, and productivity * Example metrics include: * Sending loan contracts within tight turnaround times (e.g., ~45 minutes) * Completing processing tasks efficiently (as quickly as 10 minutes when possible) * Measured on turnaround time, quality, and overall volume *Types of Loans Processed* * Personal loans (lines of credit, installment loans) * Auto loans (purchases, refinances, lease buyouts) * Title-secured loans * (Training will cover all loan types over time) *Required Qualifications* * 2+ years of experience in financial services * Background in banking, lending, or credit union environment * Experience in a customer-facing or service-oriented role (branch, teller, call center, etc.) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Excellent communication and time management skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office *Preferred Qualifications* * Loan processing experience * Experience with consumer loans (auto, personal, etc.) * Familiarity with loan systems (Temenos, Symitar or similar) *Schedule & Training* * *Training:* * First 30 days fully onsite * Structured training with dedicated trainer and side-by-side support * Gradual onboarding by loan type * *Post-training schedule:* * Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote * *Hours:* * Onsite: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM * Remote: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
