This Position reports to:

Portfolio and Solutions Manager for AMR

In this role, you will support the development and deployment of ABB's Autonomous Manipulative Mobile Robotics (AMMR) technology across customer applications. Working closely with senior engineers, Product Management, and R&D, you will contribute to transforming innovative robotics technology into robust and scalable customer solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of application engineering, solution development, and real-world robotics deployments. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced autonomous systems and help shape how AMMR is applied in industrial environments as it evolves toward broader commercial adoption.

This is a global role.

The work model for the role is: hybrid; #LI-hybrid

Up to 50-80%% of travelling will be required for this position.

Your responsibilities:

  • Define KPIs for use case applications, supporting R&D in validation the solution at customer sites

  • Be present onsite at customer premises, acting as hands-on support for R&D to further develop the solution and for Product Management to better understand customer needs. Supervise installation, commissioning and validation & integration stages.

  • Support the development and maintenance of reference architectures, solution templates, and engineering guidelines for AMMR applications across key market segments.

  • Translate customer requirements into structured application inputs and technical specifications, supporting senior engineers in defining system concepts and interface definitions.

  • Contribute to the development of AMMR applications and solution variants by supporting analysis, testing, documentation, and feedback collection from pilots and validation activities.

  • Assist in the evaluation of system performance and solution feasibility, including identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in collaboration with senior engineers and R&D.

  • Participate in cross-functional engineering activities between Product Management, R&D, Global Solution Centers, and customer teams by preparing technical documentation, analysis, and solution inputs.

  • Support validation and testing activities in customer and lab environments, ensuring accurate documentation of results and technical findings.
