The ACH Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and processing Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely processing of ACH files, resolving exceptions, and providing support to internal teams. The specialist will also assist in maintaining compliance with NACHA rules and regulations.
As an ACH Operations Specialist, you will:


  • Process ACH transactions, including direct deposits, payments, and transfers.
  • Investigate and resolve ACH exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Provide support to internal teams regarding ACH-related inquiries.
  • Follow error resolution procedures to minimize transaction failures.
  • Ensure accuracy of all ACH transactions and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NACHA rules, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ACH procedures and best practices.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Accreditation or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Nacha rules and federal regulations related to ACH transactions.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with banking software and payment processing systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
