Prototype Data Collection Technician, Optimus

Schedule available is 8:00AM - 4:30PM; Monday-Friday

• Build, test, and iterate on hardware prototypes at a rapid pace to solve problems encountered by the end-user
• Design and model parts and assemblies in SolidWorks
• Fabricate and assemble prototypes using 3D printing, laser cutting, and wire harnessing
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure prototype designs translate into scalable, production-ready solutions
• Identify problems early and propose solutions before they become blockers

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD experience with willingness to transition)
• Demonstrated ability across one or more fabrication disciplines: 3D printing, soldering, wire harnessing, laser cutting, etc.
• Experience with rapid hardware prototyping and short iteration cycles
• Strong attention to detail - your builds are clean, consistent, and well-documented
• A self-starter mindset; you see what needs to be done and take ownership without waiting to be asked
• Effective communication skills for working across teams
• Experience transitioning prototypes to manufacturing preferred
• Background in any engineering discipline, electronics or electromechanical assemblies strongly preffered
