What to Expect
This positionwillleadthedevelopment of audio electronicsfrom architecture to integrationof all Teslavehicles and robots. Specifically, it will take onaudio technology innovation and adoption, audio electrical design and validationinthe Audio team, andthe vehicle integration effort with System SW and Audio DSP teams. It will also partake in diagnostic testimplementation and data collections from the manufacturing environment and vehicle fleet.

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for audio electronics products (amplifier,microphone,automotive audio bus,DSP,etc.) frominceptionto end of life
  • Own electrical schematics, overseelayout, conduct DFMin a standalone device or as a part of the design
  • Explore new audio technologiesand components towards futureelectrical architecture
  • Work closely with audio architects to define and update audio features on the roadmap
  • Componentand system level troubleshooting, testing of audio systems and components inlab and in the field
  • Plan, execute, interpret, and document validation testing
  • Work with suppliers on design and testing of audio products.Interpret,documentand manage product drawings and specifications
  • Work with other Tesla design teams (Physical layout, EMC, Harness, Design, Thermal, Interior, Test, Manufacturing, etc.) on the integration of the Audio system components
  • Work with Audio PM on Team Task Management; document project tasks, workflow,prioritiesand timing ofeach

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related field, with minimum 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Solid technical depth and breadth in analog and digital circuit analysisand design
  • Solid technical depth in audio products (electronicsand acoustics)developing audio products from scratch
  • Ability to work closely with design, software,testingand manufacturing teams
  • Skilled working with cross functional team members from multiple disciplines to reach fact-based decisions
  • PreviousAudio DSP, System Integration, Product Development, & CAD Design exposure
  • Have experience with environmental constraints (temp, humidity, and vibration), regulatory compliance andrelative product debug
  • Technical and Product Management skills to communicate and drive internal teams and external suppliers

    Expected Compensation
    $120,000 - $288,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
