Job Summary GWUH is seeking a MedicalSurgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro \| Ortho \| Trauma unit (6 North). This role is ideal for MedSurg RNs who are interested in caring for a diverse acutecare patient population and expanding their skills in neurologic and traumarelated conditions within a highly supported academic environment. The RN provides direct patient care to individuals with a wide range of medical and postoperative needs, including patients with neurologic injuries such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spine conditions. Unit Overview 6 North is a 42bed, multispecialty acute care unit supporting patients across medicalsurgical, neurologic, orthopedic, and trauma diagnoses. The unit is designated as a: Comprehensive Stroke Unit Level IV Epilepsy Center The unit utilizes advanced monitoring technology and supports nurses transitioning from MedicalSurgical practice through structured orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing education. BLS Current state nursing license. Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
