As a Global Workplace Design Senior Manager, you'll lead the global workplace design function within Global Real Estate (part of Workplace Experience), overseeing the development and governance of design principles, standards, and guidelines that enable consistent, high-quality environments across Capital Group's global office portfolio.

You'll partner closely with Global Space Planning, Design & Construction leaders, Technology, Sourcing, and regional/site operations teams to ensure workplace designs support our culture, brand expression, sustainability goals, and evolving ways of working. You'll also provide design leadership across the capital project lifecycle-translating business requirements into effective design outcomes, guiding design committees, and stewarding furniture standards and vendor programs at a global scale.

  • You have a minimum of 12+ years of deep expertise in architecture, interior design, and/or workplace strategy.

  • You have experience managing the design process in capital projects within a global corporate setting.

  • You have experience developing and managing global design guidelines that represent an organization's workplace brand expression in the physical environment.

  • You champion sustainability, wellness and inclusivity, and incorporate into these considerations into design guidance.

  • You are a subject matter expert in furniture specifications for the workplace and have a deep knowledge of the furniture industry.

  • You have strong vendor and program management skills, including overseeing design consultants and suppliers, establishing furniture standards/specifications, and partnering with Sourcing on negotiations and global agreements.

  • You bring strong technology skills in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and InDesign to leverage the design process. You are a strong advocate for technology integration in the Workplace and promote creative workplace designs that support digital collaboration, hybrid work, and evolving technology standards.

  • You are a collaborative leader and communicator who can translate strategy into action, coach and develop others, and model Capital Group's core values while delivering excellent outcomes across regions, cultures, and regulatory environments.

  • You seekopportunities to cultivate meaningful professional relationships with key business partners, customers, and colleagues, both locally and across sites. You are passionate about creating a workplace where associates feel connected, supported, and able to do their best work.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in architecture,interior design or similar field; Master'sdegree preferred.

  • Preferred professional certificationsincludeRA /AIA,NCIDQ, LEED AP, and PMP.

Working conditions:

  • This role requires site reviews and inspections at CapitalGroup'sowned and leased facilities including walking through active construction zones and surveying safety precautions and field conditions.

  • As required, work is performed outside of normal business hours across multiple global time zones.

  • This role requires occasional domestic and non-US travel up to 25%.

New York Base Salary Range: $174,434-$296,538

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
