    THIS IS A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY IN THE US.

    Spiro is seeking a Meeting Planner to join our team supporting pharmaceutical, healthcare, and other corporate clients. This role is primarily focused on congress housing management, convention logistics, meeting execution, and onsite support for client programs associated with major congresses, conventions, and events, but we are growing to support a variety of meetings and corporate events.

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent programs in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and tight timelines. This individual should be able to independently manage logistics and provide a high level of client service while collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, hotels, convention vendors, and third-party suppliers.
    Responsibilities include housing management, hotel contracting, attendee logistics, convention-related meeting planning, onsite execution, vendor coordination, budget management, and post-event reconciliation.
    This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel extensively in support of client programs.
    Qualifications


    • Minimum 5 years of meeting planning, congress logistics, or convention management experience
    • Agency experience strongly preferred
    • Pharmaceutical or healthcare meeting planning experience preferred, but not required

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously

    • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


    • Comfortable in a client-facing role with the ability to communicate professionally, build trust, manage expectations, and represent Spiro confidently in both virtual and onsite environments

    • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
    • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and meeting management platforms including Cvent
    • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes with limited notice
    • Weekend and onsite event support required
    • Certified Meeting Professional preferred but not required
    • Up to 30% travel

    How to measure success



    • By 30 days, the incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions independently
    • By 60 days, the incumbent should be self-reliant on basic job functions and begin executing more complex tasks
    • By 90 days, the incumbent should have ownership over specific projects
