Job Description

Join HANSON, where innovation and sustainability drive our commitment to client success and community impact. We are seeking a motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5 years of experience to support regional water and wastewater infrastructure projects from our St. Louis, MO office.

Position Overview

As the Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will contribute to the design and implementation of water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities, pump stations, and distribution networks. You'll collaborate with senior staff, and contribute to operations and maintenance planning for municipal and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and treatment units.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and pump sizing.
  • Prepare and manage plans, specifications, permitting documents, technical reports, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in client meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients and private stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regional project execution.
  • Provide civil engineering design support for local road and bridge projects.
  • Integrate current industry trends and technologies into project solutions.
  • Support operations and maintenance planning for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in water/wastewater engineering, including design of water distribution, wastewater collection systems, and pump stations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited Engineering program.
  • Licensure: P.E. license required or the ability to obtain a MO P.E. within 6 months of employment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District sewer design requirements is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and client engagement abilities. Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Additional: Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
