Finance Director - JLL

What this job involves:

As Finance Director within JLL's Work Dynamics Client Finance Group, you'll lead the accounting and financial functions for one of our most strategic client portfolios. This high-visibility, client-facing role positions you at the intersection of financial stewardship and strategic business partnership. You'll serve as the trusted financial advisor to Business Unit Executives and Product Line owners while managing a team of finance professionals who deliver globally consistent, integrated real estate financial solutions. Your leadership will directly impact how we enable our clients' business productivity through excellence in financial operations, planning, and insights. This role offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy, build high-performing teams, and drive operational excellence in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Leading the preparation, management, consolidation and delivery of annual planning cycles and quarterly reforecasts to ensure accurate financial forecasting and strategic resource allocation.
  • Overseeing revenue recognition processes, accounts receivable performance, and audit coordination to maintain financial integrity and meet established objectives and metrics.
  • Developing and maintaining robust internal control systems, policies and procedures that safeguard financial assets while supporting efficient, effective operations.
  • Managing the monthly financial close process and reporting packages, including variance analysis, pipeline reports, and dashboard metrics for the CAO, CFO, and Corporate stakeholders.
  • Serving as the key financial and accounting liaison for Business Unit Executives and Product Line owners, providing proactive decision support and strategic partnership on financial, operational and client matters.
  • Leading, developing and mentoring the accounting and finance team through performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, and professional development initiatives.
  • Coordinating all fiscal reporting activities and driving continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and business intelligence capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in corporate or professional services environments.
  • Current CPA certification, demonstrating technical accounting expertise and professional credibility.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct management and supervisory experience, including demonstrated success in training, evaluating, and developing finance professionals.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and internal controls frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling) along with strong capabilities in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for business communication and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree providing additional business acumen and strategic perspective.
  • Audit experience and strong internal controls background, particularly in professional services or real estate industries.
  • Hands-on experience with computer-based accounting platforms, particularly JD Edwards or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Track record of implementing process improvements, automation, or enhanced financial systems that drive operational efficiency.
  • Experience in client-facing finance roles with demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with business leaders.
  • Familiarity with real estate financial operations, including portfolio management, lease accounting, or property-level financial reporting.
  • Background working in diverse, matrix-reporting environments requiring cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

Estimated compensation for this position:

175,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
