What to Expect
In this role, you will serve as the Data Analyst supporting Material Planning department. You will be the go-to expert for supply and demand planning analytics, multi-tier supply visibility, and operational reporting. You will be responsible for building tools, platforms, and automated pipelines that provide real-time visibility into gating supply chains, enable supply simulations, and drive operational excellence across planning workflows. Working at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, you will design and deploy containerized applications, orchestrate data pipelines, and build frontend platforms that empower stakeholders to make faster, better-informed decisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive and technically versatile analyst who thrives on automating manual workflows, building scalable tools, and solving complex supply chain problems with data.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain tools, dashboards, and platforms that provide end-to-end visibility into supply and demand planning across multiple tiers of the supply chain
- Design and run supply simulations to identify gating supply chains, forecast risk, and support proactive decision-making by planning and GSM teams
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for daily workflow orchestration, data extraction, transformation, and reporting
- Automate daily operational workflows to eliminate manual processes and drive operational excellence across Material Planning, GSM, and Component GSM teams
- Query and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL to uncover supply chain trends, exceptions, and actionable insights
- Develop Python-based automation scripts and data processing pipelines for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and simulation modeling
- Partner cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Material Planning, GSMs, Component GSM, Systems teams, and regional stakeholders to align analytics deliverables with operational priorities
- Support leadership with dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, supply risk assessments, and quarterly operational summaries
- Independently manage multiple analytical projects, platform builds, and data support requests, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met
- Partner with IT and Systems teams to define system requirements and participate in the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and user acceptance testing
What You'll Bring
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics) or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability with 2+ years of work experience in supply chain analytics, demand/supply planning, or a related analytical role
- Strong proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL
- Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and pipeline development (e.g., pandas, NumPy)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, run simulations, and present findings clearly and concisely
- Experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines and workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow or similar tools
- A collaborative, flexible, and open working style with the ability to build trust and credibility across planning, GSM, and systems teams
- Experience building frontend tools and platforms using React and JSS is highly preferred
- Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or similar is highly preferred
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as multi-tier planning, gating analysis, and supply/demand balancing is a strong plus
